Proudly sponsored by Kennedy's Retravision for the 49th year the Kennedy's mixed Fours was a tremendous event held over 2 days on the 2nd and 3rd of May.
The event was extremely well attended with 28 teams participating and all enjoying the 2 days of bowls with a lot of fun included as well as the serious side of bowls. The $5,000 prize money was shared between the first 6 placegetters and the four round winners so 10 of the 28 teams took home prizes, a fair share all around.
Bowls President, Tony McAlary, presided over the event and stated that this year's event was the most enjoyable to date and indicated that the next event to be held in 2010 would be bigger end better.
Thanking all bowlers and spectators Tony ensured that Kennedy's Retravision would be on board for next year's event in what will be the Cairns Bowls Club's centenary year |

Enduro Bowls 2005 |
Annual Bowls Event Hosted by Cairns Bowls Club
A brand new concept in bowls in the Far North.
This event entails 14 teams playing a 'round-robin' over 6 games, the duration of 12 hours.
A test of both resolve and stamina.
Play commences at 8am in the morning and finishes at 8pm.
Teams are made up of 6 players, and each player must play in each position at least once, during the course of the day.
It is therefore necessary to have a well rounded team.
Cost is only $50 per player for the day which includes green fees and meals.
